Canvas Art Inspired by Tattoos
What Comes First: The Drawing or the Tattoo?
I began transforming my favorite tattoo designs into hand-drawn artworks on paper, pieces whose symbolism and meaning feel even more powerful and profound when translated into this new form.

Darwin’s Evolution. skin and canvas artworks. Reversing the traditional process:
A tattoo on skin inspires to create a drawing on paper.

Waiting for the Spring & Terracotta Landscapes
When COVID-19 struck in 2020 and the world went into lockdown, I, like so many others, felt lost and overwhelmed.
Then, one ordinary day, I noticed a tiny bird pecking at my window. That fragile yet resilient creature reminded me that strength and freedom weren’t just out of reach. They were within us all along. It taught me to wait for the spring in a meaningful way, turning stillness into purpose.

So, I began sketching them, leaving out seeds, and watching their every move. The closer I paid attention, the more a vibrant world unfolded before me. Soon, I found myself utterly captivated by these creatures, their ever-changing rhythms, their resilience through the seasons. Through their delicate wings, rendered in ink and paper, I rediscovered my own sense of freedom.
In a world grappling with decline and the looming shadow of environmental collapse, celebrating the small, enduring wonders of nature isn’t just uplifting, it’s essential for survival. Every tiny being that persists reminds us why hope and beauty still matter and why we should not giving up on fighting to preserve the wonders of Nature.

Felis
These drawings were inspired by one my amazing godson created a few years ago. The word FELIS—with its charming misspelling—resting atop his artwork sparked a realization: true peace can flourish even in the most challenging circumstances. It’s a reminder that the smallest things often hold the greatest meaning.

Hearts
An Artistic Exploration of Human Emotions
Through the delicate language of heart shapes, recurring symbols, and minimalist titles, this collection invites reflection on what death, fear, and hope truly mean to us. A journey into the essence of human feeling.

Seres
This is my first series of large-format drawings, where each piece is crafted entirely with Indian ink and technical pen on card, employing cross-hatching techniques. Some works span two or even four panels, expanding the narrative of each composition.
The theme explores individual creatures of nature, each enclosed within a womb-like form and presented against a stark black canvas. This contrast evokes a haunting sense of loneliness, melancholy, and isolation, a quiet reflection on the fragility and solitude of life.

Black Paintings
These are my latest large-format drawings, works that feel deeply personal, even intimate.
Here, I delve into the complexities of family, fears, anxieties, and inner demons: themes that are profoundly individual yet universally relatable. A raw and honest exploration of the shadows we all carry.

Having spent a lifetime exploring the obscure, I drew deep inspiration from Francisco de Goya, a master whose late works remain a beacon of genius. In humble tribute, I’ve named this series Black Paintings after the final, most brilliant chapter of his whole career.

Saints
This series remains a work in progress, but like all my canvas art, I may revisit it in the future.
The suffering inflicted on animals to fuel greed is no longer hidden. In recent years, factory farming, cruel lab experiments, and the senseless culling of farm animals and wildlife have escalated into existential threats, not just for other species, but for humanity itself.
